Kenya celebrations for 51st Madaraka Day

Kenya celebrated the 51st Madaraka Day on 1st June 2014. Madaraka Day commemorates the day that Kenya attained internal self-rule in 1963, preceding full independence from the United Kingdom on 12 December 1963.
The celebrations were held at Nyayo Stadium in Nairobi where H.E. the President of the Republic of Kenya Uhuru Kenyatta with his speech addressed to Kenyan people.
