The possibilities for religious tourism to be developed between Kenya and Greece become more and more obvious. Most Kenyans visit Greece to follow the steps of Saint Paul, their presence in the country being like a pilgrimage. Their itinerary often includes a visit to Cyprus and a cruise to Aegean islands like Patmos and Crete.


During her stay in Nairobi, the Hon. Consul of Kenya in Greece, Mrs. Vicky Pantazopoulou, had a long and fruitful discussion with Mrs. Dorcas B. Otieno, , OGW, a University of Nairobi Professor. Prof. Otieno is also founder and Chairperson of «Kenya Organization for Environmental Education», a NGO member of the international organization «Foundation for Environmental Education» (FEE), as well as member of various national and international committees.


The Hon. Consul of Kenya in Greece, Mrs. Vicky Pantazopoulou, accompanied with representatives of Greek companies that participated at the Greek mission to Kenya, namely Mr. John Giannoutsikos (Viochalco S.A), Dr.  Hristos Solomonidis (Rogan Associates S.A.) and Mr. John Giannikouris  (Thermocool Environmental Technologies Ltd.) had a meeting in Nairobi with senior officers of Kenya Ports Authority, namely Mr. Edward M. Kamau, Gen. Manager Corporate Services, Mr. Symon K. Wahome, Manager Inland Container Depots, and Mr. Josphat K. Thiongo, Principal Operation Officer (ICDN).


During her stay in Kenya, the Hon. Consul of Kenya in Greece, Mrs. Vicky Pantazopoulou, visited Eldoret, the capital city of the Uasin Gishu County, which is considered to be the homeland of the Kenyan marathon runners.
